The position offers hybrid working out of their Waltham hub, with some remote working allowance when necessary/needed.

This role oversees technical project development, from conception to delivery, and beyond. You’ll liaise with key stakeholders to ensure resources and technical risks are managed, as well as managing schedules and delivery timelines to remain aligned with the business’ product development roadmap. It’s preferable that you come from an engineering background, so you are capable of translating complex technicalities into actionable commercial outcomes.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Technically/Academically skilled in Photonics, Optics, Materials, Chemistry or Advanced Manufacturing.
  • Cross-functional project leadership capability; preferably working with Scientists, Engineers & Researchers.
  • Diverse project portfolio, covering more than pure software-based projects.
  • Ability to manage concurrent projects, with exceptional time & budget management skills.
  • Previous experience in a start-up, or similarly fast-paced, changeable environment.
  • Well-versed in external & internal stakeholder management.
  • Familiar with nanofabrication / 3D nanofabrication concepts (preferable).

What do I get in return?

On top of a competitive salary in line with your experience, the business offers a flexible benefits allowance, tailored by you to ensure that you get the most out of your package. They’re an embryonic start-up, offering countless opportunities for progression and continued learning, giving you visibility to day-to-day operations in a mature, inclusive environment. You’d be surrounded by a talented team, working collectively towards a pioneering advancement in the field of photonics / nano-optics
