Electronic Test Technician

Element has an opportunity for an Electrical Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team in Warren, Ohio. As a member of the operations team, the Test Technician position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision. The technician positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.
Core Responsibilities:
- Prepares material specimens for various electrical test required for research & development of Electric Vehicles (EV) charging cable assemblies
- Performs tests as directed by customer specifications
- At times operates under the supervision of a more senior test technician and/or a Department Manager
- Interacts periodically with customers
- Gathers and records test data
- Constructs and maintains various test fixtures and other laboratory equipment to ensure proper working order with little supervision
Skills/Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of laboratory safety
- Minimum fo a two-year associate degree in electrical/electronic discipline and/or equivalent experience
- Possess an aptitude for electrical or electronic technology
- Basic understanding and knowledge of Voltage, AC/DC and OHM's Law
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a testing related field
- Basic understanding of laboratory equipment including Multimeter and Oscilloscope
- Analyzes and compiles testing data from the tests performed
- Basic understanding of testing concepts
- Must have 1-3+ years of Visual Basic-XL Macro's experience
