General Summary:

Installs, maintains and trains users on MTI approved software such as Odyssey, Dayforce, Radley, Concur, O365, and 4D

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Security access profiles and log-on IDs per user manager authorizations.
  • Train new employees on the MTI IT System.
  • Troubleshooting system, software or user issues.
  • Training of users to work with new systems and versions.
  • Creating and maintaining user documentation for systems software.
  • Interacts with customers for customer specific EDI and bar code label requirements.
  • Develop customized user training.
  • Develops, tests and maintains queries and reports using Data Explorer Intelligent Views, Crystal, Excel and Other Reporting Tools.
  • Provide backup support for day-to-day functions as required.

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:

  • Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Above average analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to coordinate and organize multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to train users with varying levels of technical understanding.

Working Conditions

  • The Application Specialist will reside in the office, however, will be in the plant occasionally. Must be able to adhere to conditions of the plant.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time.
  • Must be able to move about inside the office and occasionally in the plant.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as calculator, copy machine and printer.
  • Must be able to frequently communicate with employees and other individuals in person and telephone.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, MIS or engineering preferred or equivalent experience
