Role Description

The Director of Maintenance at Fox and James is a strategic leader responsible for all aspects of the maintenance operation. Reporting directly to the President, this individual will play a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness. The position involves close collaboration with senior leadership to develop and implement key priorities, processes, and policies, all aimed at achieving operational excellence and first class customer service. A significant part of this role is to lead and inspire all shop personnel, nurturing an environment of innovation and ongoing improvement. Additionally, the Director of Maintenance will oversee the financial aspects of the department, including budgeting and cost forecasting. This position is integral to driving a winning culture while maintaining financial discipline within the maintenance operations.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Microsoft Office and Excel - Proficiency with excel and analyzing data
  • 5+ years management experience in transportation
  • Experience managing operation with multiple locations
  • Communication - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to learn and research
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
