The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating and a strong background in civil construction projects. This role is crucial for preparing accurate and competitive bids to secure new projects and ensuring our company's continued growth and success.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Calculate a range of statistical data, including quantity take-offs, material price lists, labor costs per person-hour, and equipment costs.
  • Research historical data (such as purchase orders, subcontracts, and productivity analysis reports) and compile summary reports to establish guidelines and precedents for future estimates.
  • Participate in the development of project update and bid package estimate documents.
  • Maintain files of working documents to support estimating figures.
  • Assist in monitoring conceptual estimates against actual cost data.
  • Qualifications:


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating within the heavy civil, road, and bridges construction sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully preparing and securing competitive bids for large-scale projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficient in estimation software and tools (e.g., HCSS, Bluebeam, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
