The Start2 Group seeks a highly driven, passionate team-player to join our U.S. team and help execute existing life sciences accelerator programs


Location: Office in Cambridge, MA, and remote as agreed upon

Job Function: Full-time

Responsibilities

You will work to efficiently and expertly execute our Life Sciences Accelerator program and contribute to the continued growth of our organization by bringing your new ideas, insights and a collaborative spirit to a fun and diverse pan-American team. You will work directly with international life sciences and healthtech startups to understand their needs, identify and cultivate a relevant mentor team for them. You will then work with those startups over multiple months, helping to identify the appropriate commercial, clinical and regulatory strategies to support their U.S. Market entry.

The successful candidate is passionate about life sciences innovation and acceleration, has a track record of enabling de-risking and scaling of healthtech and life sciences startups, and is excited about the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the success of the startups in our programs.


Specific tasks in these focus areas include

  • Ensure programs run smoothly, efficiently, on time and on target for our ambitious agenda – specifically at it relates to program execution and reporting to government agencies and private organizations that fund our programs
  • Perform project management tasks for startups in our programs, including arranging and preparing regular update meetings and calls with portfolio companies and mentors, record minutes, and follow up on action items
  • Understand and benchmark the progress of our startups as they move through the program
  • Manage mentors and other subject matter experts and secure new mentors and subject matter experts as programs or startups require
  • Facilitate mentor matching for our startups, organize, prepare, and host deep-dive meetings and weekly project meetings with companies in our programs, including identifying and recruiting experts to participate in these meetings
  • Work hand-in-hand with our Scouting Team to assess the pipeline of startups poised for growth, their fit within the Life Sciences programs, and identify synergies with other Start2 teams and locations
  • Collect metrics on the program and startups’ performance and create quarterly reports


What You Bring to the Role

  • Knowledgeable about commercial de-risking activities, product launch, market development or market entry strategies of healthtech or life sciences products, or consulting in or around the healthtech or life sciences space
  • Understands the U.S. healthcare innovation landscape in academia or industry
  • Highly organized with strong coordination skills and attention to detail, ensuring operational excellence in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Experience running your own startup, entrepreneurial project(s), or experience in an operational role in a healthcare startup
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with a structured mindset to approaching problem-solving and meeting deadlines
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to travel domestically, with occasional international travel
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
