IT Desktop Technician

Now hiring an IT Desktop Technician to work a contract for a major employer in Knoxville, TN. This is a W2 contract with an onsite work schedule M-F in the Knoxville, TN location. Excellent opportunity for someone with a few years of hands-on experience in the Information Technology field.


IT Desktop Technician Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Information Technology department to provide superior service and availability to internal staff.
  • Investigate and analyze complex technical issues, then provide a solution
  • Assist with monitoring the service ticketing system and respond to customer requests within time limits dictated by the annual Service Level Agreement (SLA)
  • Work closely with other IT Service Desk staff on issue resolution
  • Provide administrative assistance for third-party applications when necessary
  • When necessary, liaise with third-party support and PC equipment vendors


IT Desktop Technician Requirements

  • Associates degree or 2+ years equivalent work experience
  • CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Operating System Certification preferred
  • Professional, hands-on experience with Active Directory, O365, and Exchange
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical customers
  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and effectively solve problems in a timely and organized manner using industry best practices and procedures
  • Ability to multi-task, handling multiple customer issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to methodically troubleshoot complex technical issues
