Job Summary:*
We are seeking an experienced Data Strategy Leader to drive data-driven decision-making and digital transformation in our banking organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in banking and financial services, with expertise in developing and implementing data strategies that drive business growth, improve customer experience, and enhance risk management.
*Key Responsibilities: *
- Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with the organization's overall business goals and objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams to design and deliver data-driven solutions that address business challenges and opportunities
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to identify and prioritize data initiatives that drive business value
- Develop and maintain a data governance framework that ensures data quality, security, and compliance
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and analytics adoption across the organization
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and assess their potential impact on the organization's data strategy
- Manage and mentor a team of data professionals, including data scientists, analysts, and engineers.
*Requirements:*
- 10+ years of experience in data strategy, analytics, or related fields, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role
- Strong background in banking and financial services, with expertise in areas such as risk management, customer analytics, or financial planning
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful data strategies that drive business outcomes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive change
- Strong technical skills, including experience with data platforms, analytics tools, and data visualization technologies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Key Skills: Data strategy, Banking portfolio, Risk, analytical, data management, big data, data warehousing, ETL infrastructure, data acquisition within financial services.
*Nice to Have:*
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and analytics tools
- Familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques
- Certification in data science or analytics (e.g. Certified Data Scientist, Certified Analytics Professional)
- Experience with agile project management methodologies.
