Role Overview

Working closely with our Sales and Operations Team, you’ll be responsible for providing ancillary support to our Sales and Member Services team. Your role will require involvement in various workflows related to Member Services, Facility Management, and Sales. Your main objectives of this role are to provide exceptional customer service to our members and support the Sales team in the end-to-end sales process. You’ll ensure problems are solved efficiently and professionally and member needs are addressed quickly. The position is based in the River North area of Chicago, IL and requires a 7:00a start, Monday-Friday.


Core Functions

  • This is a fast-paced and dynamic role that requires the ability to multi-task and handle competing priorities
  • Greet and assist SHIFT Members and visitors daily
  • Work with vendors to maintain a clean, modern, functioning, efficient, and inviting facility for members, guests, and employees
  • Address routine and ad hoc facility upkeep issues, leveraging vendors and building maintenance when needed
  • Provide support with implementation of operational improvements and sales activities
  • Manage various functions related to Membership transactions and service delivery
  • Share materials, answer questions, and conduct tours for prospects, as needed
  • Deliver outbound communication to members on a scheduled and ad hoc basis that is free of grammatical and formatting errors
  • Provide tactical support for Marketing and Communication efforts
  • Manage a broad range of core administrative duties in support of Operations
  • Be challenged to acquire new competencies and accept new challenges
  • Help prepare for an upcoming office relocation, including but not limited to sorting items, packing non-essentials, and performing other relocation tasks.


Education/Experience

  •   A bachelor’s degree
  •   2-3 years of experience in a dynamic, demanding environment


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Dynamic, enthusiastic, confident, and a positive, proactive approach to work
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to multitask in a dynamic environment without being overwhelmed.
  • Prior experience with a CRM
  • Advanced knowledge of Outlook, MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience and comfort with learning new online systems/software
  • Mature, patient, and great with people
  • A proven track-record of handling sensitive and confidential matters
  • Strong professional and interpersonal communication skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. 
  • Capable of lifting and carrying items weighing up to 40 pounds. 
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with ease. 
  • Must have good physical stamina and mobility.
