Reporting to the Senior Manager of Strategic Initiatives within the Technology Operational Resilience team, this role involves developing and overseeing robust security strategies, policies, and programs to identify, prioritize, and mitigate business risks associated with technology controls. Key responsibilities include addressing cyber security threats, ensuring system availability, adhering to global regulatory requirements, and collaborating with business units to optimize technology delivery through guidance on control measures.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in formulating cyber security/technology strategies, policies, and controls.
  • Minimum of 7 years' relevant experience in both cyber security and information technology.
  • Prior engagement with large financial institutions.
  • University degree.
  • Possession of information security certifications/accreditations is advantageous.


Job Description:

  • Required work locations include Charlotte, NC Ft. Lauderdale, FL or Cherry Hill, NJ
  • This role is being onboarded through 4-month contract to hire.
  • Compensation range is $100,000 to $140,000 (Hourly commiserate with salary) and includes competitive market benefits.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute cyber security strategies and programs, encompassing threat management services such as response, incident management, and intelligence analysis.
  • Offer expert guidance on both technical and non-technical cyber security solutions, ensuring adherence to information security policies during business system deliveries.
  • Safeguard the bank, its customers, and employees by identifying and mitigating technology threats.
  • Govern network-related security controls enterprise-wide, including firewall programs, intrusion prevention systems, and data leakage prevention measures.
  • Define, develop, and implement technology control and information security policies and tools.


Customer Focus:

  • Provide consultation and advice on Technology Controls/Information Security programs, policies, standards, and incidents.
  • Lead risk and control design assessments, articulating the impact of control gaps and formulating mitigation plans.
  • Contribute to global security management strategies and frameworks.
  • Ensure robust technology, processes, and governance are in place to monitor, detect, and prevent security threats.

  • Adhere to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Contribute to internal process reviews and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Influence behavior to foster a strong technology risk management culture.
  • Stay informed about emerging issues, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
