Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Construction Superintendent - Public Works at Archico Design Build Inc. The role involves overseeing construction site management, ensuring construction safety, utilizing strong organization skills, managing budgets, and overseeing Sub Contractors tasks.


The first project assignment will be in Irvine


Job Description:


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Manage day-to-day field operations of construction projects.
  • Manage subcontractors effectively/efficiently.
  • Interaction with clients, architects, engineers.
  • Daily interaction with Project Managers, Architects, Project Engineers, Clients, and/or Client Representatives.
  • Management of schedule, including weekly preparation of 4-week look ahead.
  • Coordination between trades.
  • Dimension/layout verification.
  • Verification of compliance with submittals.
  • Daily focus on job site safety.
  • Maintenance of daily log.
  • Maintain job site security/perimeter.
  • Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts
  • Monitor costs, including labor time and material.
  • Attend and participate in weekly meetings, including project and subcontractor meetings.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties and minor handyman works.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Extensive field construction experience at supervisory level (5 years as Superintendent)
  • A 4 years degree in Engineering or Architecture or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • 5 years of public work construction experience is preferred
  • Good knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, line and grade (survey), estimating and engineering principles and techniques.
  • Working knowledge of all crafts (ability to read and understand Drawing and specifications for all trades)
  • Current OSHA 30 Certified
  • Procore and Bluebeam experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrates management, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
