Senior Design Verification Engineer

We are seeking a talented and driven Design Verification Engineer to join a fast-growing hardware startup at the cutting edge of computational innovation. This company is developing transformative hardware solutions for next-generation transformer architectures, enabling unprecedented efficiency and performance for GenAI workloads.
As a Design Verification Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and robustness of custom hardware designs. You will collaborate closely with architects, designers, and software teams to develop comprehensive verification plans, implement advanced methodologies, and contribute to delivering high-quality hardware solutions that redefine industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute detailed verification plans for complex hardware designs.
- Create, implement, and maintain verification environments, including testbenches, models, and assertions.
- Collaborate with RTL designers to identify, debug, and resolve issues in hardware designs.
- Utilize advanced verification methodologies, such as UVM, to drive high coverage and thorough validation of designs.
- Analyze functional and performance requirements to ensure the hardware meets specifications.
- Automate testing frameworks to streamline verification processes and enhance efficiency.
- Participate in code and design reviews, providing feedback to improve overall quality.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in hardware verification to introduce innovative techniques and tools.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years in hardware design verification, preferably for complex, high-performance systems.
- Strong understanding of digital design principles and RTL coding (Verilog/SystemVerilog).
- Proficiency in verification methodologies such as UVM, formal verification, and constrained-random testing.
- Experience with simulation and debugging tools (e.g., Synopsys VCS, Cadence Xcelium, ModelSim, etc.).
- Proven ability to identify and resolve complex issues in hardware designs.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with high-performance computing architectures, including transformer-based designs or machine learning accelerators.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Tcl) for automation.
- Knowledge of FPGA or ASIC flows.
