Life Science People has partnered with a strong client seeking an Analytical Chemistry at a leading R&D facility in Twin Falls, Idaho. This scientist will serve as an Individual Contributor (IC) within a team of 4, conducting tests that involve wet chemistry and instrumental methods, processing diverse samples, and providing analytical support for both internal and external projects. Method development and validation, stringent record maintenance, and the ability to balance priorities in a fast-paced environment are key components of this role.

This city sits about a two-hour drive from Boise, where its parent company resides. Twin Falls boasts a semi-arid climate: warm summers and cold, snowy winters. Responsibilities:

  • Wet chemistry and instrument test methods: HPLC, IC, GC, FTIR, NIR, UV-VIS, AA, ICP-OES.
  • Develop and validate novel analytical and instrumentation methods.
  • Record and maintain detailed analytical activities.
  • Conduct regular laboratory duties including testing, monitoring, equipment maintenance, and promoting safety practices.
  • Manage chemical waste, supply orders, and equipment purchases.
  • Demonstrate strong communication capabilities and comprehension of policies and regulations.
  • Work efficiently to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Chemistry or related field.
  • 3 years of practical laboratory experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and knowledge of laboratory procedures and regulations.
  • Capability to collaborate in multidisciplinary settings.
