ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Estimator

Proactively seek bidding opportunities

Effectively maintain and generate professional relationships to increase bidding opportunities

Prepare accurate and timely job estimates and bids, as requested

Assemble takeoff reports to ensure accurate cost estimating

Review all project bidding requirements, which includes pre-qualifications, schedules, prevailing wages, specifications, special materials or requirements, bonding, unit pricing, standard materials, and permit costs

Input accurate and complete bid information into HCSS Estimating software

Timely submit estimates for approval

Submit accurate, complete, and timely estimate with all documents required

Professionally and promptly respond and resolve to all client concerns and/or questions regarding estimates/bids


Project Management

Timely and accurately set job up for accounting

Enter contract value and estimate

Ensure all project documents are complete, current, organized and stored properly.

Ensure all materials, permits, equipment, submittals, schedules, locates and notices for projects are obtained to ensure timely commencement date

Ensure Insurance and necessary project documents are generated

Route and file as necessary

Conform to company filing protocols

Accurately process time cards

Verify all equipment codes on time cards are correct or the project

Check phase codes for project time cards to ensure job cost accuracy

Verify accuracy of certified codes used

Review time cards and ensure compliance with wage and hour laws

Ensure all project documents are complete, current, organized and stored properly

Prepare accurate job cost analysis

Prepare job billings

Manage all aspects of the assigned projects, which includes but is not limited to purchases materials and resources; negotiating with, hiring and terminating vendors; and negotiating and approving change orders

Prepare accurate project budgets/forecasts in HCSS and disseminate as necessary

Monitor project budgets and immediately notify supervisor of discrepancies

Monitor day-to-day operational aspects of projects and immediately notify supervisor of discrepancies

Monitor projects to ensure projects meet specifications guidelines and quality controls, and immediately notify supervisor of discrepancies

Effectively and efficiently create and oversee project schedule to ensure timely completion through all phases

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all contracts and projects

Resolve complaints between general contractor and workforce

Visit project locations(as necessary) to monitor cost tracking, timeliness, and scope

Track CR’s Daily (Time and Materials)

Obtain ROM value or request more time on CR pricing

Ensure Cr’s reflected in General Contractors MOD

Notify necessary personnel of change orders

Disseminate change orders, as necessary

Prepare and submit monthly progress billing requests, as directed by contract

Update job progress in appropriate systems

Timely complete necessary information for lien notifications and lien filings

Process RFI’s and ASI’s including Blue beam slip sheeting or markups as required

Prepare GPS Models

Prepare project material submittals


MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:


College degree, Construction Management Degree, or 5 years related experience preferred

OSHA certification and up-to-date knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations

Strong knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, Timberline, On Screen Take off, BlueBeam, Agtek, HCSS and Utility Notification Center

Superior ability to read and understand drawings and specifications

Superior Project management skills

Strong knowledge of Oregon OSHA regulations and guidelines
