Bax Engineering is a client-focused company that practices excellence in design and provides responsive customer service. Our project portfolio includes: residential neighborhood development, commercial & industrial development, road & utility infrastructure, municipal & community development and parks & recreation design.         

We are seeking a full time, experienced Land Surveyor ready to take on office responsibilities for challenging projects including all types of land surveying related work. Projects include Boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, Easement/Right-of Way Surveys and Topographic Survey strip maps.      


Responsibilities

·        Boundary surveys

·        Subdivision plat preparation

·        Legal description preparation

·        Adhere to local and state survey regulations

·        Conduct land surveys, project research, calculations

·        Coordinate land surveyor activities with office personnel, including survey technicians and engineering staff


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

·        Prior office experience, including boundary surveys, subdivision plats, construction staking calculations,

as-built surveys and topographic surveys

·        Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D

·        Knowledge of boundary and cadastral computations, property search, and construction plans and

specifications

·        Mathematically proficient

·        Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of personalities

·        Strong written and verbal communication skills

·        Ability to multitask and adhere to timelines while being detail oriented

·        Problem solving and analysis

·        Lateral and logical thinking

·        Confidence with new technology 


Required:

·        5+ years of experience in land surveying

·        Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or close to obtaining.
