As a Field Service Engineer for our oligonucleotide synthesizers, you will install, maintain, and repair complex lab equipment used in the synthesis of oligonucleotides. You will provide technical support to customers, ensuring optimal equipment performance in research and industrial settings.


Applicants with familiarity in oligo synthesis will be STRONGLY considered.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation & Training: Install synthesizers at customer sites, ensure integration with lab systems, and train end-users on the synthesis workflow.
  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, fluidic, and electronic issues, and provide remote and on-site support.
  • Customer Support: Build strong relationships, optimize equipment performance, and ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate service records and escalate complex issues to engineering teams.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s in STEM discipline
  • Experience: 2-5 years in field service or lab equipment support.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of fluidics, electronics, and software troubleshooting; excellent communication and customer service.
  • Travel: Willing to travel frequently (up to 75%).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with oligonucleotide synthesizers or genomic tools.
  • Familiarity with lab automation systems.
