Overview:


  • We are looking for a qualified and experienced construction safety engineer to join our team and ensure that our construction projects comply with the highest standards of health and safety.
  • As a construction safety engineer, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring the safety policies and procedures on our construction sites.
  • You will also conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments, and provide training and guidance to the site staff and contractors.
  • You will report to the project manager and liaise with the relevant authorities and stakeholders.


Requirements


Responsibilities:


  • Walk construction work with the contractor in advance of execution to safe practices are followed
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, and identify and eliminate any hazards or violations.
  • Prepare and maintain safety documentation, such as reports, records, permits, and certificates.
  • Provide safety training and orientation to the site staff and contractors, and ensure that they follow the safety rules and procedures.
  • Investigate and report any accidents, incidents, or near misses, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate and cooperate with the project manager, the site supervisor, the client, and the relevant authorities and stakeholders on safety matters.
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments and best practices in the field of construction safety.
  • Implement safety plans and programs for each construction project, in accordance with our policies and the applicable regulations and standards.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, occupational health and safety, or a related field.
  • At least three years of experience as a construction safety engineer or a similar role, ideally at a biopharmaceutical facility (or similar).
  • Must be OSHA 30 Qualified
  • Knowledge of the construction industry and the relevant safety regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
