Position Title: Multifamily Construction Superintendent

Location: Washington DC

Role Overview: As a Multifamily Construction Superintendent, you will be the driving force behind the successful completion of our multifamily construction projects. You will oversee all on-site activities, ensuring that our projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Your leadership will be pivotal in creating homes that inspire and delight our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage all on-site construction activities from start to finish, ensuring that projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Team Management: Supervise and coordinate the efforts of subcontractors, suppliers, and site staff to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
  • Quality Control: Maintain rigorous quality control standards to ensure that all work meets or exceeds company standards and client expectations.
  • Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce all safety protocols and procedures to create a safe work environment for all personnel on-site.
  • Schedule Management: Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all phases of construction.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and local authorities.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during construction to keep the project on track.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, with a focus on multifamily projects.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Certifications: OSHA certification and other relevant industry certifications are a plus.
