On-site Project Manager/Estimator I

Position Overview:

This position is NOT a remote work position.

The Estimator/PM I, will be responsible for sorting through RFQ’s and bid boards to ensure our future bidding project list remains as full as possible. They will also be responsible for full and accurate takeoffs on projects that we decide to pursue. They will work along side of the estimators to ensure accurate takeoffs and assist with putting the bids together, with the anticipation that full takeoff and estimation of the projects would be an added responsibility when they are ready for that transition. Keeping the calendar full is essential to the success of the company. The Estimator/PM is also responsible for submitting quality bids. That means estimating the right projects, at the correct scope of work, at a competitive cost. The Estimator/PM will manage project schedules and communication between customer stakeholders and Atlas Foundation Company. The communication function is key to ensure that the quality and timeliness of work is satisfactory, and Atlas Foundation Company is the customer’s first thought when it comes to deep foundation construction needs.

Essential Duties:

·        Sort through RFQ’s and Bid boards to find quality projects with our scope or work required

·        Generates the assigned volume of accurate estimates for assigned projects

·        Purchases materials and manages subcontracts economically and expeditiously for assigned projects

·        Efficiently coordinates field and office activities as well as assigned project schedules

·        Maintains consistent pro-active contact and communication with Superintendents and customer stakeholders

·        Increases job knowledge by participating in professional educational opportunities and reading professional publications

·        Maintains professional networks; and participates in professional organizations

·        Explores opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Skills/Qualifications:

·        Associates/Bachelor of, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or Engineering (Structural, Geotechnical, Civil)

·        Any combination of education and experience

·        A self-starter with the ability to work with a group and communicate needs in a professional manner

·        Computer skills required in Excel, Word, Power Point, and Project.

·        1-3 years knowledge and experience in the construction industry (particularly geotechnical or deep foundation installations)

·        1-3 years knowledge and experience estimating and managing projects

·        Experience with blueprint reading

·        Meet or exceed contractual Service Level Agreements (deliverables, schedule, and budget)

·        Demonstrate: Integrity, Confidentiality, Professionalism, Enthusiasm, Commitment, Drive, Growth-mindset

·        Ability to carry out job description duties
