SUMMARY

Work with production on introducing and maintaining process improvements. Aids in the training and know-how of facilities capital equipment to other employees. Be a key person in helping to develop employees and filling in skill set gaps. Develop, propose, and execute beneficial cost reduction activities.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Research & develop best practice manufacturing processes.

Determine proper tooling and equipment necessary to perform each assembly process with DFM in mind.

Continuously improve manufacturing processes by analyzing and planning workflow

Work with sales, engineering, and production to identify areas of continuous improvement.

Help oversee the process of updates of documentation and training where needed.

Complete and or oversee special projects as assigned.

Identify, develop, implement, improve and monitor Manufacturing Engineering initiatives and methods.

Help to establish standardized work.

Propose fixtures to improve production activities.

Help develop training programs for employees.


COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

Ability to read assembly drawings and electrical schematics.

Proficient computer skills.

Speak and Read English (bilingual is preferred)

Strong public speaking skills

Strong presentation skills

Strong organization

Good vision and hearing

Strong understanding of Metrology and Arithmetic

Strong computer and software skills (Microsoft office, Outlook preferred)

Fully abide by ISC policies and procedures

Must be able to motivate and work well with people.

Six Sigma and lean experience


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree or higher

Familiar with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodology.

Experience with cable and wire harnesses or Aerospace industry experience


PHYSICAL DEMAND AND SAFETY

Be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds unassisted. Beyond this will require the buddy system or lifting device

Ability to stay on your feet for prolonged periods of time and mobility to get around facility without limitations.

Ability to sit and work at a station for prolonged periods of time without limitation.

Achieve daily tasks which require repetitive use of hands and other body parts.

Learn and follow all safety requirements. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action.

Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Report to work; healthy and not affected by alcohol, drugs, or other harmful influences.

Actively participate in safety improvement activities.

Report any unsafe practices by coworkers or contractors.

Immediately report all injuries and other safety incidents.
