Work Type: Onsite – Salt Lake City, UT 84119

Duration: 6-month contract (with possible extension)


Job Overview:

  • The Test Technician is responsible for performing acceptance testing and diagnostic troubleshooting on electronic and RF-based equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assumes full responsibility for acceptance testing activities for one or more product lines per released procedures.
  • Adapts to different test levels from lower-level assemblies (Digital, Analog, and RF) to box and system level.
  • Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans from Engineering to perform routine testing, check-out, and troubleshooting functions.
  • Performs routine operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment to ensure conformance with final product specifications.
  • Calibrate and align RF and digital circuits as per the Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP).
  • Diagnoses and isolates malfunction down to component level and conduct repairs if instructed.
  • Conducts defined tests and collects data as assigned.
  • Performs final verification of product and paperwork associated with the final product.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 (two) years of technical or vocational education in electronics and communications or a minimum of at least two (2) years of relevant work experience in the requested subject of expertise.
  • Must be able to read and understand electronic schematics and mechanical blueprints.
  • Great with numbers, detail-oriented, and strong organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated, critical thinker with a strong technical background.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work with PCs and applications such as MS Windows suite and other related software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Test or Electronic Technician for an electronics manufacturing company in an aviation or communications-related field is a plus. IPC or J STD solder certification.

Physical Demands:

  • Lifting of production assemblies and commercial test equipment weighing up to 35 lbs. may be required.

  • CUI
  • Access to Trade Controlled Hardware, Software, and Technical Information.
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined in applicable law, or otherwise authorized or eligible for authorization, to access to hardware, software, technology, or technical data controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
