The Senior FP&A Analyst is a pivotal role within the organization, tasked with developing, analyzing, and overseeing financial models, budgets, and forecasts that support the strategic and operational decisions of the company. This role demands a high level of financial acumen, analytical skill, and strategic thinking, enabling the company to optimize its financial performance and align financial strategies with business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop financial models to forecast business performance and utilize these models to assist in strategic planning.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, including setting timelines, reviewing departmental submissions, and consolidating company budgets.
  • Monitor budget variances and report significant discrepancies to management.
  • Analyze financial data and performance metrics, identifying trends and providing insights that influence business decisions.
  • Work closely with senior management to present findings and recommendations.
  • Use prior project data to build predictive models for future projects, improving accuracy in budgeting and forecasting
  • Support departments in understanding their financial metrics and improving their budgetary performance.
  • Compile and manage cost data related to materials and integrate this with the product information system to enhance financial tracking and reporting.
  • Work with the CFO to formulate a process of tracking projections vs actuals around the company’s labor resources on projects.
  • Travel to major trade show sites to monitor and analyze union labor results, comparing actual performance against projections and identifying areas for financial improvement.
  • Expected travel 15-20%.

Technology/Platform Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
  • At least 5 years experience in accounting, finance or related field
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis
  • Required technology experience with the following programs:
  • Google Suite including Docs, Sheets, Chat and Meet.
  • Business Intelligence and analytics tools
  • Microsoft Office including Word, Power Point, especially spreadsheets, database, and reporting tools.
  • Ability to navigate Box or Google Drive as the primary cloud storage platform.

Other Qualifications:

  • Ability to compare, contrast and quality check work and keen attention to detail. Can present numerical data orally and in writing or through graphics.
  • Proficient in identifying the challenge/opportunity, establishing solutions, implementing

those solutions and evaluating their effectiveness.

  • Ability to work and interact with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Ability and initiative to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, competently handling demanding deadlines.
