Commercial Lease Administrator (with Shopping Centers/Retail Lease Abstract Experience)

Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Lease Administrator with specific expertise in shopping centers and retail lease abstracts to join our team. As a key member of our leasing operations, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of commercial leasing agreements, with a focus on shopping center and retail leases. Your role will involve ensuring compliance with lease terms, facilitating tenant relations, and optimizing the performance of our retail properties.


Responsibilities:

  1. Lease Administration: Manage all aspects of commercial leasing agreements, with a specialization in shopping center and retail leases, including lease preparation, execution, and renewal.
  2. Lease Abstracts: Create and maintain lease abstracts for shopping center and retail leases, summarizing key terms and provisions for easy reference and analysis.
  3. Tenant Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for retail tenants regarding lease inquiries, rent payments, and lease compliance issues.
  4. Lease Compliance: Ensure tenants adhere to shopping center and retail lease terms and conditions, including rent payments, common area maintenance (CAM) charges, and percentage rent.
  5. Lease Documentation: Maintain accurate lease files and documentation for shopping center and retail leases, including lease agreements, amendments, and correspondence.


Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance, or a related field- preferred not required
  2. Previous experience in commercial real estate, property management, or lease administration with a focus on shopping centers and retail leases- minimum 6 months.
  3. Strong understanding of shopping center and retail leasing principles, lease agreements, and industry practices.
  4. Experience creating and maintaining lease abstracts for shopping center and retail leases.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with retail tenants, property owners, and vendors.
