Telecom Analyst

Job Details:

• Hybrid - 3 days onsite in Downtown Raleigh
• Target Compensation of $27-$32/hour
• Multi-year W2 contract (full medical/dental/vision benefits)

Summary:

Join our IT Telecommunications department as a Documentation Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in supporting telecommunication projects at our North Carolina Regional Headquarters in Raleigh. We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with experience in engineering document creation and management, particularly using tools like Fusion, Visio, MicroStation, or AutoCAD. Your expertise will help ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our documentation processes.

Key Technical Skills:

• Engineering document creation and revision
• Proficiency in Fusion, Visio, MicroStation, and/or AutoCAD
• Experience with Adobe and Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
• Familiarity with documentation management systems

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Telecommunications Documentation support
• Create, edit, and maintain Telecommunications Engineering documents
• Index, maintain, and verify equipment logs in databases
• Utilize Duke Energy’s Documentation Management system for document storage and management
• Create job aids and train others on document management systems and standards
• Participate in an enterprise Agile team supporting Telecom disciplines and regions
• Prepare technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Estimate, track, and report on technical, cost, and schedule performance
• Advance skills and work with greater independence

Required Certifications/Education:

• Associate's degree with a minimum of two years’ experience in engineering documentation management, or
• High school diploma with four years’ experience in engineering documentation management
• Ability to pass a background check and become NERC-CIP certified

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with Telecommunications Engineering documentation and technologies
• Experience with Construction Engineering documentation
• Familiarity with Service Now tools and processes
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Experience with JIRA
• Understanding of basic project management principles

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
