Bluejack Resources has an immediate opening for an Acquisition Landman (Agent) to help us drive renewable energy development opportunities for our clients.


Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Acquisition Agent is to make cold-calls, follow-up on development opportunities created by mailers to landowners, and to give presentations in virtual meetings with landowners. With this comes the ability to work through a series of events that leads to signing long-term renewables development leases or purchase options. Additionally, Acquisition Agents communicate regularly with the developers via Smartsheet, as well as by weekly or bi-monthly via virtual meetings to provide updates on ongoing negotiations and receive guidance/feedback.


Qualifications

Candidate must be driven, highly-motivated, possess negotiating skills and be sales-oriented. An ideal candidate is proficient with basic CRM systems, possesses excellent communication skills, is able to articulate to landowners the opportunity, and close deals by signing long-term solar or battery storage leases or purchase options. Candidate must have 2-5 years experience in a sales or acquisition landman role, with a proven track record of success.

Responsibilities

  • Work existing leads for each campaign you are assigned
  • Make regular contact via phone, email or virtual meetings with landowners
  • Draft letters of intent, leases or purchase agreements to distribute to landowners
  • Negotiate commercial terms and lease or PSA provisions with landowners
  • Report regularly to the project manager


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong business acumen in sales and/or leasing in the energy sector
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
