As an Electrical Engineer, you will work closely with Senior Engineers assisting in designing electrical systems on a variety of projects. A successful candidate can expect to gain valuable engineering experience in designing, planning and analyzing electrical power systems for a variety of projects including but not limited to: high rise office buildings, general and medical office spaces, hospitality/hotels, educational facilities, distribution centers, manufacturing, retail and other commercial/industrial/institutional projects.

Primary Responsibilities

·        Participate in the design and specification of power and control systems, system layouts, load calculations, equipment sizing and selection, performing calculations of lighting systems and associated controls for assigned projects.

·        Communicate with clients, contractors, and other project team members as needed to support project design.

·        Generate construction documents using AutoCAD/Revit

·        Manage multiple projects through design until completion of construction

·        Coordinate with design team professionals of other disciplines as they perform their designs to ensure proper coordination on construction documents.

·        Research and apply applicable codes to design.

·        Perform project site visits during design and construction to ensure proper implementation of the design documents.

·        All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

·        Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent BSET

·        5 years of related engineering experience

·        Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification, preferred but not required.

Skills

·        Strong interpersonal skills and experience maintaining successful client relationships

·        Effective oral and written communication skills

·        Strong ability to self-manage and multitask

·        Strong attention to detail

·        Strong organizational skills

·        Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word

·        AutoCAD and Revit experience preferred
