Must Haves:

  • 1 year of experience as a Monitor Tech
  • Knowledge of cardiac rhythms/basic EKG interpretation
  • Need have experience with reading rhythms specifically not just EKG strips.
  • Must pass Monitor Test in the interview.

Plusses:

  • Certification as one of the following:
  • CCMTT (Certified Cardiac Monitor Telemetry Technician) - through the American Education Certification Association
  • CRAT (Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician) Certified - through Cardiovascular Credentialing International

Job Description:

In this role, the individual will be responsible for knowing and providing continuous ECG monitoring through assessment of EKG strips and accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias interpretation. This person will not be merely an EKG Tech but someone who is truly monitoring rhythms. The environment will require the individual to watch up to 48 patients at a time with potential high acuity patients. The resource will work 3x12 shifts with a varying schedule.
