Overview:

This job opportunity is for a Facility Security Officer (FSO) with our client in Germantown, MD, is a dynamic role focused on managing security and government clearances, particularly for classified DoD, SAP, and other special projects. Below is a detailed breakdown of the role and its requirements:


Responsibilities:

  • Administer and enforce security policies, procedures, and functions in compliance with government regulations, customer requirements, and company policies.
  • Liaise with the DoD on matters related to personnel, clearances, and facility policies.
  • Interpret and implement NISP/IC policies, including security plans and procedures for compliance.
  • Maintain and manage company Cage Code(s).
  • Promote collaboration within the security team for timely completion of tasks.
  • Oversee security program reviews, including formal inspections.
  • Investigate security incidents and violations, preparing reports for submission to the Cognizant Security Authority.
  • Develop and deliver ongoing security training for cleared personnel.


Basic Requirements:

Security Clearance: Current Top Secret/SCI with a CI polygraph.

Experience:

  • 5+ years with SAP and DoD projects.
  • 5+ years as an FSO.
  • Knowledge of 32 CFR 117 and the NISPOM.
  • Familiarity with U.S. government regulations related to classified information, particularly DoD and Intelligence Community guidelines.
  • Experience maintaining facilities in accordance with ICD 705 standards.
  • Proficiency with systems like DISS, e-QIP, NISS, and ServiceNow (NBIS).
  • Knowledge of secure communications, including COMSEC custodian duties.
