As an Oncology Medical Science Liaison (MSL) within the Medical Affairs Organization, your primary role is to be a field-based medical expert facilitating mutual scientific exchange. You'll collaborate closely with Thought Leaders (TL) and Healthcare Providers (HCP) to deepen understanding of the company's oncology/hematology products, both marketed and in development, ultimately contributing to improved patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scientific Engagement: Leverage your profound scientific and business acumen in life cycle management (LCM) to foster rich thought leader insights, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Thought Leader Engagement: Establish and nurture relationships with regional thought leaders, staying abreast of evolving healthcare trends within the relevant therapeutic areas.
  • Clinical Information Management: Respond to inquiries from customers with integrity and compliance, providing balanced clinical and scientific information in accordance with legal, regulatory, and guidelines.
  • Representation: Represent and the US Medical Affairs Team at scientific conferences, medical educational events, and meetings, contributing to the company's presence and reputation.
  • Insight Generation: Gather scientific insights from stakeholder interactions, offering feedback to internal stakeholders to enhance understanding of thought leader, healthcare provider, and patient needs.
  • Study Support: Assist with both investigator sponsored studies (ISS) and Company Sponsored Studies (CSS), contributing to optimal site selection and performance.
  • Training and Collaboration: Train and support speakers on products while fostering collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders across Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, R&D, and Commercial teams.
  • Continuous Learning: Engage in independent learning within the therapeutic area, actively participating in upskilling programs related to molecules, products, disease states, and relevant business topics.

Requirements:

  • Education / Certifications: Doctoral level in the sciences required (MD, DO, PhD, PharmD, DPT, Nursing or equivalent).
  • Experience: 3-5 years of related work experience with a minimum of 2 years in Oncology MSL role preferred, including experience with product launches and life cycle management.
  • Key Technical Competencies:
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to develop and maintain credible relationships with key experts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficiency in synthesizing and communicating medical information clearly.
  • Knowledge of relevant guidelines and regulations governing medical communications.
  • Understanding of oncology/hematology customer segments and market dynamics.
  • Familiarity with clinical research fundamentals and project management.
  • Leadership capabilities and a collaborative mindset.

Additional Information:

  • Travel: Ability to travel approximately 50-70% based on geographic requirements.
