Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in a laboratory environment
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, including the use of graphing and tabulation functions
  • Willingness to travel

Plusses:

  • Experience with adhesives, coatings, or related materials is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Plans and conducts concurrent technical assignments and laboratory work for our Tapes and Labels business and customers.
  • Performs standard adhesive physical and performance lab tests as well as testing on customer/supplier materials, substrates, etc.
  • Coordinates necessary testing with other functions (i.e., Product Development) and on-site Analytical Sciences Group.
  • Prepares laboratory reports which present findings and conclusions, uploads them to the required database(s) and communicates results to stakeholders.
  • Prioritizes projects/experiments based on awareness of customer needs.
  • Recommends priorities and next steps for projects and experiments based on understanding of internal business or customer needs.
  • Maintains ownership of laboratory space and equipment, including inventory, ordering of lab supplies, and calibration of equipment
  • Responsible for meeting all Safety Requirements including SOP reviews, training, SDS, sample labeling, housekeeping, etc.

Job Description

Insight Global is hiring for a Lab Technician to sit onsite in Chanhassen, Minnesota for a large, chemical and consumer goods company. This Laboratory Technician will be contributing to the development of structural adhesives by working alongside the Industrial development team on material improvement, developing lab test methods on the adhesives, and ensuring in compliance with laboratory and application regulations as they work to build a data center. 80% of their day is spent in the lab (mechanical and electrical testing) alongside the technician and 20% of their time will be spent writing reports and presenting them to the team.
