Fuel Trader – Houston, TX


A prominent energy and commodity trading company is seeking a skilled Fuel Trader to join their Houston-based team. This position will play a critical role in managing and expanding fuel trading operations across North America, with a focus on gasoline, diesel, and other refined products.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive fuel trading strategy, sourcing, and sales across U.S. markets to achieve revenue targets.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, distributors, and clients, ensuring optimal trading opportunities and deal structures.
  • Monitor fuel price trends, inventory levels, and market dynamics to identify profitable opportunities.
  • Work in coordination with logistics, risk, and compliance teams to ensure successful trade completion and minimize operational risks.
  • Actively contribute to market insights and team strategy, adapting approaches based on evolving market conditions.


Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in fuel trading, with specific expertise in gasoline, diesel, or other refined products.
  • Strong market acumen and an understanding of pricing, hedging, and risk management in fuel markets.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to build effective industry relationships.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and the use of trading software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as business, finance, or economics.
