Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Director of Project Management to join our team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale EPC projects within the electrical contracting industry, with a particular focus on transmission, distribution and substations. This role requires a strategic leader who can oversee multiple project executions, ensure compliance with industry standards, and drive the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget whilst managing a team of driven Project Managers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the project management team, providing strategic direction and ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Oversee all phases of project lifecycle from initiation to completion, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing proactive measures to ensure project continuity and success.
  • Ensure all projects comply with industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Track and report on project performance, implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery.
  • Mentor and develop project management staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.


Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in project management within the EPC electrical contracting industry, focusing on T&D and substations.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex projects.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • PMP or similar project management certification is highly desirable.
