Scrum Master Summary

Supports agile development team in the delivery of complex software and cloud initiatives. This position will partner with the Product Owner to support product backlog definition and prioritization to feed sprints. Responsible for eliminating barriers, coaching team members on best practices and running scrum ceremonies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Organize and facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
  • Ensure that the team adheres to Agile principles and practices, including timeboxing, self-organization, and cross-functionality.
  • Guide the development team on Agile principles and the Scrum framework, helping them understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to help team members improve their Agile practices and collaboration skills.
  • Identify and address obstacles that hinder the team's progress, working closely with stakeholders to resolve issues promptly.
  • Act as a servant leader, empowering the team to self-organize and find solutions to challenges they encounter during the development process.
  • Foster a culture of transparency, trust, and collaboration within the team and with external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication and alignment between the development team, Product Owner, and other stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding of project goals and priorities.
