How do you get paid?
This is a commission based career. However, we understand that it may take some time to get your practice off the ground which is why weprovide“startup” compensation in the first year to help you transition into the business, and higher commissions for the first three years. With Northwestern Mutual, you control your earning potential. What you put in, is what you get out. To give you an idea, our Financial Advisors in the first year average between $90-100k and advisors 5+ years in the business earn on average $624k.
What experience is needed?
You do not need to have a background in finance to get started. We are looking for individuals who have had a history of success in their career. Whether it be in sales, business development, entrepreneurship, former athletes, hospitality, education, military etc. Because we provide extensive training and development, we give career changers the opportunity to take on a new challenge without previous experience in the industry. You'll receive award winning training through NM’s National Training Program “Financial Planning Academy” and partner with industry experts until you’re ready to do it on your own. You are in business for yourself but not by yourself
