LHH is hiring for our client, a prominent non-profit organization dedicated to in depth research in Public Policy. They strive to make a positive impact through their programs and initiatives, and rely on the support of donors and partners to achieve our goals.


This role is a contract position with a very flexible hybrid schedule, ability to work remotely if preferred. Please only apply if you're available to start immediately.


Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Development Coordinator with experience in Raiser’s Edge to join our development team. The Development Coordinator will play a key role in supporting fundraising efforts, managing donor databases, and ensuring the accuracy of donor records.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the Raiser’s Edge database, ensuring accuracy and integrity of donor information.
  • Process and acknowledge donations, including generating thank-you letters and receipts.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns and events.
  • Prepare and generate reports from Raiser’s Edge to support development activities and strategy.
  • Coordinate donor communications, including newsletters, emails, and direct mail campaigns.
  • Conduct research on prospective donors, foundations, and grant opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the development team to identify and implement strategies for donor engagement and retention.
  • Provide administrative support for development activities, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and handling correspondence.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of development-related content for the organization’s website and social media.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators related to fundraising efforts.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a development or fundraising role, preferably within a non-profit organization.
  • Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge database management and reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable with technology.
  • Experience in donor relations and stewardship practices.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.


Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of fundraising principles and best practices.
  • Experience with grant writing and proposal development.
  • Familiarity with online fundraising platforms and social media tools.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
