San Francisco Bay Area, United States EVONA Full time

About the Role

Our client seeks an experienced and strategic Product Manager to establish and lead the Product team, guiding product vision and execution. This individual will define the product roadmap, drive product development from concept through launch, and ensure products and associated services deliver exceptional experiences to customers. This role is central to the team, with responsibilities for creating a strategic product vision and diving deep into product specifics.

The ideal candidate will explore key questions: what exactly is the product, and who is it built for? How will customers discover, experience, and ultimately decide to purchase it? How will they stay engaged with the brand, learn to use the product, access services, request support, or provide feedback? This role involves working with internal and external stakeholders to build a case for what to develop now and in the future, creating a foundation for a leading company in sustainable travel solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a rapid and continuous product development methodology
  • Create a clear product roadmap, connecting across functions and teams
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Engineering, Design, Finance, Sales, Marketing) and external partners
  • Drive alignment and communication across departments
  • Present roadmaps, decisions, and learnings to varied audiences
  • Define technical and regulatory requirements for Engineering and Design
  • Oversee the full product lifecycle, ensuring products align with market demands
  • Lead new product development and work with teams on go-to-market strategies, including launch, marketing, and internal documentation
  • Identify and address gaps between market needs and current progress
  • Cultivate a strong understanding of customers, the business, and the industry
  • Track and advance key performance metrics

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of Product Management experience, ideally in EV, automotive, hardware/hardtech, or outdoor recreation
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems with an ability to synthesize technical information
  • Proven collaboration skills with Engineering and Design teams
  • Ability to build rapport with end-users, engaging them in the development process
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a talent for storytelling
  • Self-motivated and comfortable with autonomy and some ambiguity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in startups or fast-paced, small-team settings
  • Track record of successful product launches
  • Technical background or experience
