Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform and assist with EEG and EMG exams, ensuring high-quality and accurate results while following department protocols.
  • Accurately identify patients, educate them on procedures, and collect pertinent medical history prior to testing.
  • Manage and review orders for accuracy, prioritize exams, and ensure timely completion and documentation in Cerner.
  • Collaborate with neurologists, IT, and Bio-Med teams to maintain equipment, resolve issues, and ensure seamless workflow.
  • Adhere to department policies, including patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance, and maintain an updated ABRET license.
  • Monitor and manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper stocking for the department.
  • Participate in the training and orientation of new staff members, ensuring proper use of equipment and adherence to procedures.

  • Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm

Salary:

  • 24.20-$38.70


Job Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college or university required.
  • Candidates with on-the-job training may be considered if they hold a current and valid R. EEG T. certification through ABRET.
  • Preferred: Clinical experience (student and/or professional) with multi-modality neurodiagnostic testing.
  • Strongly preferred: Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at the time of hire; required within 3 months of hire.
  • Must be board-eligible and complete the R. EEG T. written examination within 2 years of hire.
  • Full registration as an Electroencephalographic Technologist (R. EEG T.) by ABRET required within 2 years of hire.
