Purchasing Leader Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies.
  • Manage daily purchasing activities, supervise staff, and delegate tasks.
  • Manage supplier relations, negotiate contracts, prices, terms, etc.
  • Maintain our supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
  • Coordinate with team to determine and manage inventory needs to meet company goals
  • Ensure that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
  • Prepare cost estimates and manage budgets.
  • Work to improve purchasing systems and processes.
  • Train new employees in the purchasing process

  • Purchasing Leader Requirements:
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years verifiable experience as a Purchasing Manager or similar position.
  • Extensive knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.
  • Bar Coding experience
  • Supervisory and management experience.
  • Proficiency with ERP system such as Sage 100, Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
