Quality Assurance /Engineer

On-Site Position:  Hamilton, Indiana 


Position Overview

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest quality standards for our products and processes. In this critical position, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, ensuring compliance with quality regulations, and implementing continuous improvement measures. Your duties will include performing quality audits, analyzing data, troubleshooting quality issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain consistent product quality. You will also contribute to developing quality protocols, ensuring proper documentation, and conducting training to ensure all team members understand and follow quality standards.


Responsibilities:

  1. Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify and resolve malfunctions or defects in machinery and equipment.
  2. Carry out repairs, adjustments, and replacements of faulty components or parts, ensuring minimal disruptions to production operations.
  3. Perform preventive maintenance tasks on equipment within the facility.
  4. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance, using maintenance management systems (CMMS) or other designated tools.
  5. Collaborate with the maintenance team and other departments to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks, ensuring timely completion.
  6. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and equipment required for maintenance activities.
  7. Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations while performing maintenance tasks, ensuring a safe working environment for oneself and others.
  8. Assist in developing and implementing maintenance procedures, standards, and best practices to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  9. Stay updated with advancements in maintenance technology, techniques, and equipment, and make recommendations for improvements.

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent; Vocational or technical training in a relevant field is preferred.
  2. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams.
  3. Experience with hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance-related software applications.
  4. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze, diagnose, and resolve maintenance issues effectively.
  5. Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  6. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  7. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  8. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as required.
  9. Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to adhere to safety guidelines and procedures.

Preferred experience:

  1. Electrical systems from 12v DC to 480v AC (single and three phase)
  2. Hydraulic systems from the pumps to the valves within the system.
  3. Pneumatic systems from compressors to internal pneumatic switches.
  4. PLC’s, HMI’s and/or robotics.
  5. Automation
