Engenuity Outdoor Equipment is a well-known manufacturer of outdoor power equipment, trailers and auto accessories. The product assortment includes – woodchippers, utility trailers, stump grinders, snowplows, snowblowers, PTO backhoes, winches, to name a few. Engenuity caters to the residential, prosumer and light professional markets. The company has a strong relationship and partnership with key hardlines retailers throughout both the US and Canada. Our company’s products are also sold and distributed by regional and local retailers, independents, value add distributors and direct-to-consumer through our online marketplace.

 

In 2022, the company received private equity investment in addition to three other businesses that were brought together under one platform. Additionally, the business just completed an acquisition, and the combination of these businesses has created a platform for significant commercial growth in the outdoor power equipment and trailer categories. To drive long-term value creation and growth, Engenuity is hiring a National Account Manager.

 

Job Summary

As a National Account Manager, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, driving sales growth, and contributing to the overall success of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in key account management, a deep understanding of the outdoor power equipment market, and exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

 

Major Responsibilities

Key Account Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts in the outdoor power equipment industry.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for key clients, addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction with our products and services.

Sales and Revenue Growth:

  • Drive sales growth through strategic account planning, upselling, and cross-selling of products.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.

Market Analysis:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to identify new business opportunities and potential threats.

Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

  • Work closely with product development, marketing, and logistics teams to ensure the successful launch and delivery of products to key accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address client needs and resolve any issues promptly.

Contract Negotiation:

  • Lead contract negotiations with key clients, ensuring favorable terms for both parties.
  • Collaborate with legal and finance teams to review and finalize contracts.

Forecasting and Reporting:

  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports for key accounts.
  • Analyze sales data and performance metrics to make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Customer Satisfaction:

  • Monitor and address customer feedback and concerns promptly.
  • Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

 

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in account management, preferably in the outdoor power equipment industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
