We are looking for a candidate who can put their years of study and experience to use in a position requiring technical know-how, people skills, creativity, agility, and travel. We are seeking an Application Engineer to extend and grow our US-based team. While based in Farmington Hills, MI, the right candidate will be responsible for sales and support to customers, sales partners, and projects throughout North America.

Tasks:

  • Participate in and conduct product demonstrations for potential customers
  • Create and conduct training sessions for customers on hardware and software
  • Install systems at customer’s facilities
  • Perform application support services in response to customer requirements, both remote (phone, internet, email) and at customer’s site
  • Write user manuals, training manuals, and other technical documentation as needed
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows


Qualifications Needed:

  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline or similar
  • Ability to travel 50%, including occasional international travel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to lift minimum 50 lbs.


Qualifications Wanted:

  • Knowledge of 3D measurement technology
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM, CNC machining of complex parts
  • Knowledge and experience in technical sales
  • Knowledge and experience of production technology
  • “Easy-going” and creative/innovative
