We are looking for a Technical Writer to work in Greensboro, NC in a hybrid role. We work a 9/80 schedule that gives you every other Friday off. This is a contract position. In this role, you will prepare customer manuals and supplements, internal manuals and supplements, and other technical documentation in accordance with FAA, customer, and other standards of quality.


  • 6-month contract role
  • $25/hour (depending on experience)
  • Monday-Friday 8am-5:30pm (9/80 schedule; every other Friday OFF)
  • Training in office, then Hybrid schedule after training complete


Job Description:


  • Research and review engineering drawings, engineering orders, and related technical data defining aircraft modification and assembly/subassembly/component specifications, determine the effect on customer technical publications, and use the materials to produce accurate, high quality customer technical publications.
  • Produce in-house technical publications such as manuals, forms, standard operating procedures, and more.
  • Provide support to other internal departments regarding technical publications.
  • Interface and coordinate in a professional manner with other departments, internal customers, to ensure customer, regulatory, and requirements are met and to promote and support organizational business interests.
  • Work on complex documentation tasks with assistance.


What we need:


  • Associates degree or higher preferred.
  • Great attention to detail skills.
  • Computer skills: experience with Microsoft Office required.
  • Knowledge of technical writing concepts, practices, and procedures.
