We are seeking a talented and creative Juniors Fashion Designer to join our team at. As a Juniors Fashion Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing fashion-forward clothing for our junior's category. You will work closely with the design team, merchandisers, and production staff to create innovative designs that align with our brand aesthetic.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute design concepts for junior's clothing line.
2. Create detailed technical sketches and specifications for production.
3. Stay up-to-date with current fashion trends, colors, fabrics, and trims.
4. Conduct market research to identify emerging trends in the junior's fashion industry.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including merchandising, production, and sales to ensure cohesive product development.
6. Participate in fit sessions and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper fit and quality of garments.
7. Work closely with suppliers/vendors to source materials that meet quality standards.
8. Maintain accurate records of design concepts, sketches, fabric swatches, etc.
9. Adhere to project timelines and meet deadlines consistently.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field is preferred.
2. Proven experience as a Fashion Designer specializing in the juniors category is required.
3. Strong knowledge of garment construction techniques and patternmaking principles.
4 Excellent sketching ability using traditional or digital tools (Adobe Illustrator).
5 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
6 Knowledge of textile properties including fabrics types,
7 Ability to interpret market trends into creative designs while considering target audience preferences
8 Strong communication skills both verbal an written
9 Detail-oriented approach with excellent organizational skills.
