Position Overview

The Head Surveyor will lead surveying operations and oversee all surveying activities for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. This role is crucial for managing survey teams and collaborating with engineering teams to facilitate successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage surveying teams on construction projects including heavy civil works, bridges, and roadways.
  • Ensure all surveying activities are completed with high accuracy and adhere to project specifications and local regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to provide necessary survey data for planning and execution.
  • Review and approve survey plans and reports prepared by surveyors.
  • Train and mentor junior surveyors and technical staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct field surveys and assist in the development of project plans and specifications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in surveying, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in surveying, with a focus on heavy civil projects.
  • Proven experience as a head surveyor or in a similar leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of surveying techniques, equipment, and software.
  • Familiarity with construction processes related to bridges, roadways, and highways.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
