Behavior Technician 2:1 Case

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team and provide 2:1 support to an 18-year-old individual with specific needs in daily living skills. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in implementing behavior intervention strategies, promoting independence, and fostering skill development in various areas of daily living.
Responsibilities:
Individualized Support:
- Provide direct 2:1 support to the 18-year-old individual in daily living activities, including personal care, hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans developed by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to address specific behavioral challenges
- Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to assess the individual's current skill levels and develop goals for daily living skills improvement
- Utilize evidence-based practices to teach and reinforce targeted skills, promoting independence and self-sufficiency
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of the individual's progress in daily living skills
- Collect and analyze data to track behavior patterns and skill acquisition, adjusting intervention strategies as needed
- Work closely with the individual's family, caregivers, and other support team members to ensure a consistent and coordinated approach to skill development
- Provide regular updates and feedback to the BCBA, team members, and relevant stakeholders
- Implement crisis intervention strategies as needed, following established protocols and ensuring the safety and well-being of the individual and others
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and stay current on best practices in the field of behavior analysis
- Qualifications:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred (e.g., psychology, special education, behavior analysis)
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is highly desirable
- Previous experience working with individuals who require 2:1 support, particularly in daily living skills development
- Strong understanding of behavior analysis principles and their application in a therapeutic setting
- Must be willing to work in multiple environments; school, community and home
