REPORTS TO: INSPIRED SPINE BOARD
JOB SUMMARY:
The Clinical Director is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the administrative,
business, clinical, and surgical functions of the practice. Works in collaboration with providers,
department managers/supervisors, clinic employees and surgery center staff to ensure an exceptional
provider and patient experience at all Inspired Spine locations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Maximize practice revenue
Lead, motivate and mentor employees.
Ensure compliance to organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
Plan and implement Inspired Spine goals and objectives including, but not limited to, implementation of
best practice and quality improvement initiatives.
Build a culture of collaboration and trust that drives improved staff satisfaction and drives toward 90th
percentile results in patient experience measures.
Ensure consistency in customer service in all areas.
Manage outcomes for any complaints or concerns with members and patients; use prescribed methods of service recovery; provide follow up after resolution.
Use data to guide and direct practice operations.
Prepare and administer emergency response plans.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Practice Operations:
o Provide overall leadership for all aspects of practice operations, including but not limited to:
o Maximize quantity of clinic and surgical services while maintaining service quality.
o Patient services and appropriate chart documentation.
o Revenue cycle from patient registration through collections.
Administrative Leadership:
● Develop and implement systems and policies to increase efficiency, increase access for patients,
and foster cross-team collaboration.
● Responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive onboarding process and
corresponding documentation.
● Ensure employee performance expectations are clearly documented and communicated.
● Maintain knowledge of best practices, healthcare, and trends, and update policies as needed.
Attention to detail with consistent focus on the bigger picture.
● Exceptional problem-solving skills.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
● Work independently, use time effectively, work under stress, and intervene appropriately in crisis
situations.

Human Resources and Leadership:

lead change, and motivate staff.
● Provide leadership and oversight of daily practice clinic and administrative functions.
● Ensure appropriate staffing levels on all teams to provide excellent service to patients.
● Collaborate with providers to ensure they are supported and can practice efficiently and at the top
of their license.
● Oversee hiring, onboarding, and training of department staff.
● Establish an employee performance evaluation process, including goal setting, professional
development, performance improvement, and assessment of training needs.
● Identify and resolve staffing problems and conflicts.
● Be a great coach.
● Involve and engage team members.
● Care about your team members as people.
● Be clear about results and stay focused on them.
● Make healthy, productive communication a priority.
Compliance and Safety:
● Ensure staff maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, organization policies, and
applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards
● Ensure practice compliance with all regulations and legislation.
● Provide leadership and follow up with regard to incidents, errors, and other patient service issues
as needed.
● Oversee appropriate actions related to safety and emergency preparedness.
● Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or health-related field.
Minimum 3 years of ambulatory surgery center, clinic, or health care setting leadership experience.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Working in a clinic environment. Some bending and stretching
required. Working in a fast-paced environment and use of telephone is required. Use of the computer for
6-8 hours per day is required.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal clinic environment. Contact with physicians, staff, and
patients.
EQUIPMENT USED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Computer keyboard and
monitor, calculator, writing utensils, telephone, copy machine, and fax machine.
