Architectural Surfaces, LLC has an immediate opening for a Construction Project Manager to oversee scheduling and coordination for commercial construction projects. This role focuses on managing project schedules, collaborating with general contractors, and ensuring projects stay on track to meet deadlines and quality standards.


The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for working closely with project teams to plan, monitor, and adjust schedules, ensuring all aspects of the construction process align with client requirements and company goals.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and communicate comprehensive project schedules for commercial construction projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and contractor timelines.
  • Collaborate with general contractors to coordinate schedules, resolve issues, and address potential delays to keep projects on track.
  • Analyze and optimize schedules by considering resource availability, capacity constraints, and historical data to improve efficiency and project outcomes.
  • Lead regular project meetings with stakeholders to address challenges, prioritize tasks, and provide updates on scheduling and progress.
  • Review project requirements and specifications to ensure alignment with the production schedule and resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide regular status updates and forecast potential issues to the leadership team, recommending adjustments as necessary.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders on any given project.
  • Ensure all scheduling adjustments comply with contract terms and organizational standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project scheduling processes and implement best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in project scheduling, project management, or construction coordination, specifically for commercial construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction scheduling, project management tools, and the ability to interpret construction drawings and documents.
  • Proficiency with project scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar tools) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners, including general contractors.
  • Experience with general contractor collaboration and familiarity with the nuances of commercial construction projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present information effectively to diverse audiences.
  • A detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and timeliness.
  • Travel may be required occasionally for site visits and contractor meetings.


Physical Requirements:

  • Work is primarily performed in an office setting but may require visits to construction sites.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods and engage in repetitive motions, including typing and computer use.
  • Occasional lifting or moving of materials up to 20 pounds may be required.
