Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Mid-Senior Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will primarily focus on leveraging AWS cloud technologies and Python Spark to enhance our infrastructure and support our data-driven initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud engineering, particularly with AWS services, and a strong proficiency in Python programming for data processing and analysis using Spark.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS.
  • Implement and manage cloud services including compute, storage, database, and networking solutions.
  • Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline operational processes and deployment activities.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Optimize performance and cost-efficiency of cloud-based applications and services.
  • Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance requirements in all cloud solutions.
  • Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement resolutions promptly.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to cloud computing and data engineering.


Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship or Green Card Holder Requirement
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering with a strong focus on AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Python programming with hands-on experience in data processing and analysis using Spark.
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless computing.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer) preferred.


Location: This position is based in either Nashville, TN or Plano, TX.
