JOB DESCRIPTION:

Under the general direction of the Joshua Webb – Vice President of Operations, provide the leadership, vision, and direction for application services within Pharmacy Solutions Group (PSG). This role provides support for the Framework Dispensing Platform and all other applications utilized to dispensing and operations within the PSG Pharmacies.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic leader, excellent communicator, have demonstrable expertise in project management, and above all be customer and team focused. Manage and supervise assigned technical and support staff; work closely with Pharmacy Operations, CommuniCare IT, and Third Party Vendors to define and implement technology enhancements and solutions Responsible for planning, implementation, and functioning of applications systems, in correlation to the overall operations of PSG pharmacy and it’s customers.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

General:

Implement and oversee enterprise application projects – directing requirements, validation, and on-going maintenance activities.

Planning, developing, supervising, and implementing IT projects as it pertains to Framework and other Pharmacy dispensing platforms.

Support and develop technical expertise to meet long-term business needs.

Provide guidance, leadership and mentoring to application service team members.

Support and develop technical expertise to meet long-term business needs.

Serve as primary liaison between Framework and other third-party vendors with regard to pharmacy applications.

Communicates cross-divisionally and coordinates with user and technical groups regarding applications, developing application solutions, determining system requirements and modifications of systems.

Compiles data and performs analysis; provides written and oral reports and proposals to management.

Application Processes:

Develop and lead Process Improvement initiatives by participating in work groups in partnership with Pharmacy Operations, Communicare IT, and third party vendors to identify and areas to which applications can assist in solutions.

Develops and documents application systems back-up and disaster recovery procedures and resources in partnership with Communicare IT and third-party vendors.

Develop, oversee, and implement Pharmacy functions within Framework as it pertains to set-up, pricing input, dispensing application settings, ECM document management settings, and other application set-up as it pertains to pharmacy dispensing and operations within Framework.

Work with internal and external partners on hardware install and application processes required for successful function.

Oversee and implement EMAR integrations with Pharmacy.


Training:

Work with Pharmacy leadership in building training plans and timing for new pharmacy start-up.

Develop, oversee, and implement in partnership with Pharmacy Operations the Pharmacy Training platform for Framework, ECM, and other applications for operational Functions.

Identify focus needs for Pharmacy staff as it pertains to the understanding and use of Framework and ECM.


Financial:

Fiscally responsible for Application Services actual-to-budget expenditures, adjusting expenditure patterns/trends as needed to comply with budgeted amounts.

Prepare, revise, finalize and submit the annual budget forecast for the Applications Services and related technologies.


OTHER JOB RELATED DUTIES:

Perform other related duties as required.

Night, weekend, and out-of-town assignments may be required.

Overnight travel (approximately 30%)


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of:

Principles of Application set-up and management.

FrameworkLTC and ECM Document management.

An advanced function and technical level of FrameworkLTC and ECM.

Principles of project management.

Understanding of business applications and security requirements within the applications.

Methods of testing applications and equipment.

Skills:

Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal relations, and management and supervisory skills.

Ability to identify problem solve complex problems and provide solutions.

Ability to display tact and diplomacy when working with both internal and external customers and vendors.

Ability to organize, prioritize, and track tasks, requests, and deadlines.

Maintain, and foster positive productive and cooperative and harmonious working relationships

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in field of IT, Application Management, or Project Management with a Master’s Degree Preferred (MBA, MHA).

5 year minimum in Application Management and Implementation with an emphasis on project management.
