Our Emerging Technology team is looking for a hands-on Technical Lead, Generative AI & Edge Centric AI to lead research and development of the latest Generative AI trends and the development of our Edge Centric AI products.

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee all on-device AI efforts and collaborate with HQ and LGE’s Toronto AI Lab for product level technical implementation on our products.

• Lead and contribute to the advanced research and development in the field of Generative AI.

• Grow and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders (AI teams, System IC teams, edge SW teams) to develop an innovative Edge-centric AI applications and platform

• Lead end-to-end on-device AI efforts from co-developing on-device AI application concepts to hardware-software co-design and architecture for machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) accelerators and energy-efficient edge computing devices for next-generation home appliances and automotive

• Initiate and oversee the development, implementation, administration, monitoring and improvement of security, policies, programs, and protocols

• Work with leading academic or 3rd party company researchers to expedite edge-centric AI platform development

• Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC)

• Technically supervise various levels of team members by setting the tone for the team environment and providing individualized coaching, training and mentoring

Education and Skills We’d Like You To Have:

• M.Sc. degree program in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Mathematics or Statistics with 8 + years of experience or PhD degree in CS or EE with a specialization in, AI/ML, etc. with 5 + years of experience

• Hands on experience delivering AI products in a technical leadership capacity

• Continued experience researching the latest Generative AI trends

• Experience with on-device IoT edge intelligence (tinyML and embedded AI)

• Expert-level knowledge of on-device AI model optimization and accelerators

• Deep understanding of System Architecture for energy-efficient edge AI

• Experience of hybrid architecture design to maximize edge processing and cloud computation

• Technical leadership experience for both local and remote engineers

• Experience and understanding of how to define and deliver GenAI products.

• Collaboration experience with internal and external technical partners.

• Excellent communication skills including effective presentation to Executives

• Experience working in agile environments with cross-functional delivery teams

• Detailed knowledge of system design and software development methodology and its application to overall system design
